Enabling local archive recording
Configuration of the local archive recording is performed via the settings of your surveillance device or the settings of Ivideon Server/Ivideon Bridge in case the camera was added to Ivideon using one of the following devices.
The main ways to have local archive recorded are:
Device and the way it is connected to Ivideon | Local archive storage location | Setup process |
Ivideon-ready IP camera (like Nobelic, Oco, Hikvision) | SD card inserted into the camera | Please make sure that your camera has an SD card slot. The list of Ivideon-ready IP cameras which can use microSD cards for local archive storage can be found in our online store. Instructions on how to set up local recording can be found here for Nobelic, Hikvision, Oco cameras. Stable local archive recording on an SD card by an Ivideon-ready IP camera can be guaranteed only if the card used has a speed class of no less than 10. |
Ivideon-ready DVR, NVR, HVR (Nobelic, Oco, Hikvision) | Hard drive installed in the recorder | Make sure that the recorder you are using supports recording to a hard drive. The maximum capacity of hard drive that can be used by a recorder is generally noted in the instruction manual of the Ivideon-ready recorder in question.
|
Ivideon Server (IP camera or video recorder connected via Ivideon Server) | Hard drive installed in a PC with Ivideon Server software on it | After launching the app for the first time during the setup wizard, you can choose a folder on your hard drive, where the local archive recordings from the cameras connected via Ivideon Server will be made. In case you tick the Enable recording to the archive box, then all cameras newly added to this server will have local recording automatically turned on and saved to the chosen location. The When detector is triggered recording mode would be used by default. In case you have not set up local archive recording within the setup wizard when launching your server for the first time, then you can perform the following actions to do so:
|
Ivideon Bridge (IP camera or video recorder connected via Ivideon Bridge) | SD card (up to 128 GB) and/or hard drive (supports a maximum of 2 HDDs with 1 TB of space each) connected to the Bridge device |
