Ivideon Client. General Information

The Ivideon Client application is designed to view video and archive recordings from surveillance cameras connected to the cloud, as well as via the local network. Ivideon Client can be installed on computers with Windows, macOS, and Linux-based operating systems.

Ivideon Client allows you to watch live video and archive, export archive, create groups and layouts for viewing several cameras at once, control access to cameras.

Note that you cannot add new cameras and manage camera settings via Ivideon Client.

The correct work of the Ivideon Client app (i.e., the current release version, available in the Downloads section of our website) has been tested and can be guaranteed for:

  • Windows 7 (with the latest system library updates) and higher

  • Current versions of Linux systems (only 64-bit versions), Ubuntu LTS (16.04 / 18.04 / 20.04/22.04), Debian (9/10)

  • macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) and higher

NB! The proper functioning of the current version of Ivideon Client on outdated OS versions cannot be guaranteed, various issues with installing/launching the application can occur.

Functioning of Ivideon Client on virtual machines cannot be guaranteed either (depends on the implementation model of the virtual environment).

A PC with the following specifications is recommended for proper work of the Ivideon Client application: CPU with 2 physical cores (3 GHz per core and higher), 2 GB of RAM (for the application only, not for OS or other applications), any supported OS version. Discrete GPU is not needed for the application as data processing is done by CPU in general. In case you are going to watch live-feed or archive via layout with several cameras, CPU load will be higher, that's why we recommend to use PC with better CPU (with more cores/higher frequency) and up to 3 GB of RAM for this usage case.
